Statement of Intention

In my present artwork interest, I am trying to capture the subject matter and transform it into something new and different. Composition, colors and fundamentally the concepts are made to appear my reality embodied in symbolic meanings, coming from the real and translated through my sensibility in a very special way of expression made up of feelings. It is as if by drawing, I try to understand and to communicate in a preverbal language, the relationship between the concreteness of the human beings and their surroundings, with the transcendence.

Generally, my focus is fragmentary, looking for grand meaning in the simplest things.

Presently, I am working on Still Life paintings, using compositions with onions as a starting point for all my creative actions; it is well known that the onion's organic constitution and form, have an important symbolic role creating a spiritual space enclosed in the real one, meaning the different and concentric stages of life.

I do not totally complete my works. By using only colors and lines, I leave small areas unfinished, perhaps to suggest to the observer the possibility of finishing the work themselves with their own imagination and creativity.

Each time I sign a work I find myself.
